The Education and Training Evaluation Commission attaches great importance to rigorous scientific research. Scientific research constitutes a fundamental component of its strategy, with the aim of accurately diagnosing the state of education and training in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, uncovering root causes, and identifying effective solutions to enhance improvement within the education and training system. It also seeks to provide insights for policies, strategies, and practices across general and higher education as well as the training sector.

The abundance of national and international data on education and training, held by the Commission as part of its information assets, provides alongside other resources a valuable opportunity for producing research with robust methodologies and reliable results. This stems from the breadth and comprehensiveness of evaluation data, covering inputs, processes, and outcomes, along with the accuracy and validity of the measurement tools and procedures used in collecting such data.

Accordingly, through its Research Partnership Program, ETEC enables researchers in academic departments and specialized research centers to participate in the National Program for Evaluation, Assessment, and Accreditation Research. This broadens the base of research findings and scientific evidence, enriches applied Saudi research literature in the fields of education and training, and contributes to the formation of rigorous academic and educational communities with cumulative research priorities.
